The mission of the Bushwick Academy of Urban Planning “is to help students obtain the academic and social tools they need to achieve their goals by stimulating their interests in discovery, self-expression and civic engagement.”
Through our partnership with them we hope to enhance these areas through our trainings, which take place after school. 2009 is the first year that GP is working with BAUP.
The Academy of Urban Planning was formed as part of the New Century High School Initiative. This initiative aims to reform large urban traditional high schools and transform them into smaller learning environments. Planning for the Academy of Urban Planning began in October 2002 and the school opened its doors to students in September 2003.Staff Contacts:
