Elena Loveless, Dominican Republic Summer Community Facilitator, 2011

Elena is currently studying a Master´s degree in Social Work in New York, and is delighted to be joining the Global Potential team this summer! After having spent time working in India on nonformal education projects with a group of social workers she decided to become a social worker herself, and what better place than New York – a city of extremes, with vast wealth and poverty, a diverse and vibrant city whose inhabitants come from all over the globe. Elena´s passion for social justice was fostered, in great part, by her experience in India where she witnessed severe poverty and met inspirational people. This same passion led her form part of the great GP family and contribute to making this world a fairer and more peaceful place to be.
