Natasha Krell, Communications Intern

A nomad at heart, Natasha has lived in the US and abroad and is now completing high school in Abu Dhabi. Born and raised in Montevideo, Uruguay, she moved to the US in elementary school and lived on both coasts before moving abroad to the Middle East in her sophomore year. She started working with Global Potential as an intern in New York City the summer of 2011 after meeting Frank in Abu Dhabi at a Global Issues Conference. Change is a constant in Natasha’s life but she has many passions that keep her grounded.

Living abroad has heavily influenced her passions as she cares deeply about social justice issues, conservation of the environment, sustainable development and youth empowerment. She has been involved with several large organizations such as the WWF, Sierra Club, and Habitat for Humanity as well as grass roots organizing and volunteering. She co-founded the first chapter of Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots, in Abu Dhabi, which empowers youth to create projects in the greater community which benefits people, animals, and the environment. Her passions for social and development work arise from her trips around the world, especially to developing regions where she has built homes and volunteered at orphanages. Aspiring for a career in the foreign service, Natasha is committed to advancing sustainable visions for the future around the world.
