Daniel Do, Youth Facilitator, Boston
Daniel Do is a first year Clinical Master’s in Social Work student at Boston University. He obtained his B.S. in Psychology from The Ohio State University. Prior to coming to Boston, he spent the past year in Seattle working with City Year. Through this program, he worked with amazing youth and found his passion with working with youth from underserved populations. He served as a tutor, mentor, and after-school program co-leader, as well as created a Math intervention program for students he worked with.
His passions in Social Work mainly lay with youth from urban neighborhoods, and increasing access to resources and education. Working with youth and seeing the amazing results when youth are empowered is a driving force in his education. Currently he works at a domestic violence agency, but also does outreach to two area schools working with guys on the topic of health relationships. He is very excited to join GP. He notes that the unique experience GP offers to students through programs here in the U.S. and the extensive abroad portion of the program were his main draws to join the team.
In his spare time, Dan enjoys running, hiking, trying new foods, and photography!
