Rafael, GP Boston, HcA, 18 years old, originally from the Dominican Republic

This is what Rafael has to say about himself: “My name is Rafael. I am 18 years old and I attend the Edward M. Kennedy High school. I am a very outspoken person who is down to do anything. I am very open minded and friendly also. I love hanging out with my friends and listening to music. Music and dancing are my getaways. I love being me; I can have so much fun all by myself as if I was with a group of people. I want to become a part of the medical field when I grow up, so helping people has always been something I would love to do.”
“This is why I joined GP to become part of the change. I always think, it doesn’t hurt to help someone who needs more than you do. I am always the one to ask “hey are you ok?” when something seems wrong. My friends say I am a very funny person; I can make a whole crowd of people laugh, which I think is a good thing, because there’s nothing better than making someone happy. I am proud Dominican, and anything that has to do with my country I always want to be involved. Can’t wait for summer 2010 to witness the experiences I am going to overcome. See you all this summer :)”
