Demetrous, GP New York 2010 participant, AUP, 17 years old, Jamaican and Cuban

My name is Demetrous and I’m a 2011 at Academy of Urban Planning, Bushwick Campus. I am participating in Global Potential because I have always been interested in going to another country and experiencing what it is like to be a part of another country; to be a part of another culture. I also decided to go to this program because I am helping the people in DR that are less fortunate than others, which makes me happy with myself.
As a Global Potential participant I hope to get a great experience out of this program. This is a one in a life time experience I will never forget no matter what. In the future I plan to be very successful and to be happy with my life. Some people say just to have money or just success but if I am not happy, all of that does not matter. I am passionate about music and acting. Those are just some things that I would really like to do in the future and to experience. I think that it would be great to do those things.
