Tatianna, 17, Edward M. Kennedy School, Boston, Originally from Boston, MA, USA

Tatianna Elyse is a 17 year old student at the Edward M. Kennedy Academy for Health Careers in Boston. She is originally from Boston, Massachusetts. Tatianna lives in the heart of Dorchester with her mother, step-father and 2 year-old brother Nathaniel (who she loves very much). Tatianna enjoys hanging out and taking pictures with friends.
She is an aspiring photographer, music producer and mentor. Her dream is to one day open up an art class. Her dream is to have an art studio where young kids can come paint and older kids can paint murals all around the city of Boston. She wishes to have a photography studio, where she can take and print her own pictures for her new, up-and-running photography business, Yorle Photography. Not only does she want to take pictures herself, but she wants the kids to be able to come and produce their own pictures and fulfill their dream. Another component to this art class will be the recording studio.
Tatianna has started a gospel band with a few people at her church and wants to have a place where her band can record and produce their music. But that’s not all, she wants the children in her program who have a voice and want to let out their feelings in the studio to come and record whatever they want. The final component to this art class will be the dance studio. She wants anyone who has the desire to dance to express themselves in her dance studio.
Where Global Potential fits into all of these aspirations is her plan to start the art class small with children in the Dominican Republic or Nicaragua. Her goal is to jump start her experience in creating relationships with young children and having them express themselves through painting. Tatianna knows this will be hard with the language barrier, but what better way to communicate than through art? Tatianna looks forward to her next year and a half and beyond in the GP family.
