Nephthalie, 16, Edward M. Kennedy School, Originally from Boston and Haiti

Nephthalie is a 17 year old student at the Edward M. Kennedy Academy for Health Careers in Boston. She is originally from Boston, Massachusetts, but lives in Hyde Park with her big family. Her parents are from Haiti. Nephthalie enjoys just having fun with friends and family.

Nephthalie would like to become an anesthesiologist .She is very interested in her future, she is part of a program for Massachusetts General Hospital. The program allows her to have an 22 month internship in the hospital. As of now she works as a anesthesia technician intern in the operating room. The program helps her to accomplish her goals by giving SAT prep, workshops on heath,community and education. Her dream is to have organization to help people in Haiti to have better anesthesia during surgeries. She wishes to open a school in Haiti to help educate orphans. Her goal is to promote education among the less fortunate in Haiti. She wishes to raise awareness about the lack of education in Haiti.

Nephthalie is very open-minded, smart, and trustworthy person. She enjoys helping people because it gives them a reason to be happy. She strongly supports community service. Nephthalie thought Global Potential is a great organization to help student as herself to be aware of global problems, as well as improve her leaderships and social skills. She also believe Global Potential helps students to be prepare for college because of the diversity. On the trip to Haiti or Nicaragua she will like to become culturally diverse and expand her horizon.
