Shelly-Ann, 16, Bronx Guild, Originally from Jamaica, going on Nicaragua trip

My Name is Shelly-Ann. Everyone calls me Shelly for short. I’m 16 and was born in The Bronx on November 15, 1994. I am an adventurous person and I like to learn new things. I love to have fun, laugh and make others laugh. I love to do hands on activities, whatever it may be; from arts and craft to gardening. I like think of myself as a well rounded person because I’m up for anything whatever the challenge. But like every well rounded person we all have our flaws; I tend to get bored easy which causes me to fall off task, and when I find myself having fun in one activity I find it hard to switch over to a new one.
This summer in Nicaragua I hope to learn to stay on task and to let go of one activity to switch over to another.
I hope to learn patience and understanding. Also this summer I hope to meet a lot of new people and learn a little bit of Spanish. I’m hoping for a new wonderful and adventurous experience.
