Ermis, 17, Senior at Dorchester Academy, Dominican Republic.

My name’s Ermis. That’s E-R-M-I-S. Not Ermist, Ernest, or Erma. I was born in the Dominican Republic in 1994. I’m almost eighteen. In my spare time I read and blog. I enjoy watching everything that comes on the BBC and am slowly being converted into a Trekkie. I migrated to the United States when I was eight, and have lived in Boston ever since. I know it’s hard to believe, but English isn’t my first language. It’s Spanish. I want to learn many more, however. I want to learn Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Hawaiian, Russian, French, and Portuguese. I would also like to travel. I want to travel a lot, actually. I want to spend a good chunk of my life living somewhere else. Planet Earth is massive, and I would hate to die without crossing at least one ocean. I like conventions (anime, comics, etc), really good books, and going to museums. I dislike people who abuse their power, soggy broccoli, and not being able to keep my word. I also hate discrimination with a passion.
